I’m like a magpie when it comes to sequins ✨I think M&S have really nailed it. I love that proper red that’s everywhere rather than a wine red.
I am trying to be mindful though & not buy anything else with sequins as they are so bad for the environment. I’ve only just learned this this year in my job .. had no clue they don’t break down and stay in the ground/ oceans for 100s of years. Hopefully, someone will come up with more sustainable sequins as we need all the sparkle we can get ✨
Me too, Sharon - I always have been! ✨ – cannot resist anything metallic or sparkly! But thank you so much for raising that about the sequins, I had no idea and now I’m wondering how sparkly lurex/glitter/metallic fibres compare, In terms of this issue? Any sustainable fashion Substackers please chime in – I think I’ll pop up a note about this next week. It would be really good to know, so thank you for flagging! 🌟 I guess all the more reason to re-wear the the pieces we already have, or check Vinted etc. I have a few old favourites I never tire of. Thanks so much again for this, Sharon. 🙌🥰
I honestly don’t know where to buy from these days, Jenni in my small efforts to change. I teach digital sustainability & I learn so much new stuff from the overlap in other industries/sectors. Fashion is really horrendous when it comes to the environment. Zero Waste Store on instagram is a good source of info as is re:directory on insta too.
Perfect timing Jenni! I’ve been looking for a face roller to put on my Christmas list! And I’ve already got my Neom Christmas Wish candle which I’ve been restraining to light until 1 December but I don’t think I’ll be able to wait that long!
All that sparkle!!
✨✨💖!!! (I actually can’t get over how brilliantly M&S has done sparkle & shine this season!) xoxo
Suddenly feeling the urge to rifle through the closet and find some sequins! xox
Yay!!✨✨ And I bet NYC is already looking beyond magical?!..🗽❤️XOXO

Thanks so much for sharing all of this, Sharon. 🩷
Is there any face-roller-type tool that would help with a less-than-toned chin/neck area?
I have some sequinned trousers but have never summoned up the nerve to wear them!! Not even for Taylor!!

Do you know what I really needed that I didn’t know I needed after this horrible, sad week? Sequins. Thank you, Jenni
