I wasn't really wowed by the overall vibes at this year's MET, but the midlife crowd totally outshone the younger ones as a collective. Maybe it's all that seasoned glam? I absolutely LOVED Sarah Jessica Parker's hair—her whole ensemble screamed classic Carrie from SATC. JLo was stunning as always, but for her debut as a host, I was hoping she'd bring something totally unique. Her dress was still a knockout, though. Nicole Kidman looked so fresh and vibrant! She should definitely wear her hair like that more often. Jessica Biel, meanwhile, seriously looks like she’s still in her late 20s or early 30s—I had to double-check her age on Google! They all just looked amazing and overall looked better than the younger set. My specific faves, though, were Zendaya, Elle Fanning and Gigi Hadid. They were gorgeous!
I LOVE that you thought that about the 'midlife collective' shining on Monday, next stop Cannes next week! 🌟💫✨ I also love how we get the behind-the-scenes in a way we haven't before, and that the teams - hair, makeup et al - get the credits, and are part of the show, so to speak - their excitement and joy, and passion for what they do at times like this, comes through so much in their posts. First of all, thank you, so, so much - 🥹 you are SO kind! 💗 Secondly, WOWZAS, I could see that!!! Those layers could look so light, and fresh and fun for summer, and work beautifully with your hair (perfect colour, too!). Does it have a natural curl/wave already, even? Now I need to know if you do it, but no pressure if you rethink! 😂🤩
Hee hee! So.... I talked to my stylist today, who said that I don't have the hair texture to pull it off without getting annoyed. I'll just enjoy how cute Meg looks like!

And while I’ve written about and reviewed glowy/dewy-finish makeup—like my favourite Jones Road foundation, and the Miracle Balms, and others—we haven’t done a step-by-step or a post devoted to this as such, but NOW I AM!!! Great idea. Will get a makeup artist on this, and tag you when we run it! 🙌💗
