Oooh, I just watched Jessica Chastain do a "get ready with me" type video for Vogue on Youtube - she was raving about the Mario Badesco Rose spray! I love her. She was definitely keeping it real. Anyway, you're the second or third person to mention this spray so now it's in my cart. Thank you! Kate Winslet is always so classy. She is just beautiful.

Oh I hope you like it, they do the cucumber and the rose one, and I think the rose is my fave, it feels super-old fashioned and European pharmacy-ish (!!) if that makes sense, and now I’m craving a little spritz of it, too! I always use it up, and keep it by the bathroom sink for refreshes - I’m researching a face mist/spray post right now, and this will 100% feature. Will tag you! Let me know how it goes! Happy, sunny Sunday (poured all day over here, hope Germany is brighter?!) XO

Thank you!!! Yes, please tag me. I just ordered it via Parfum Dreams and it was on sale, plus I get 10% as premium member! Man, I loooove a deal! 🎉 Totally feel you on the rose scent. It's so feminine and romantic! Plus, the old fashioned grandmas knew how to be effortlessly glam. 🌹 Can't wait for your post! You always have the best recs and my list of things to try gets longer and longer. 🤣 Germany right now is cloudy and rainy, but at least it's not hot today. It's been a HOT summer. Perfect for drinking coffee and reading Substack!

Interested in the clarifying shampoo, as the grey hair I’m now sporting tends to go yellow - caused by city pollution, and my hairdresser suggested clarifying shampoo. I guess if it stripped the added colour from your hair it might take the yellow out of mine!

Oooh, that’s so interesting, Hannah! I know there are lots of purple-based shampoos and treatments, too, that keep blondes bright and kick out any brassiness that happens over time (I could talk to you for about blondes and toners, experiments and disasters! 🫣😂 Even top colourists have despaired of my hair and its tendency to react weirdly to things, so I’m 100% not a reliable research candidate on that front!). The issue I’ve had with these is that they often strip out so much of a certain warm tone, they leave my colour looking too ashy/cool - almost grey, and hasn’t worked with my skin tone. But if you’ve got a great hairdresser, listen to them 100% - I’d be really interested to hear how you find using a clarifying shampoo, if you do, as I’ve heard they can really restore brightness - and which your stylist recommends. Thanks so much for sharing! XO

I know!!! I wonder if it’s a throwback to dolls houses and those kits (we had here in the UK) with little mini supermarket groceries and things - even love when IKEA do little mini versions of their things for the kids’ department. CANNOT RESIST!! And the beauty ones tick the cuteness and value/try something before committing boxes ☑️ - win-win!! Happy Sunday! XO

You’re getting me excited for autumn by telling you wore a trench and a scarf! It’s been so unseasonably warm here that I’m ready for cooler weather and cozy clothes. Love the clothes from a Nora movie, especially that sweate!
